The Holidays in NYC (Part 2)

This was our most eventful day in the city! We spent the entire day walking around and exploring a bunch of places around the city! We started our day at the Rockefeller to purchase and pick up our city passes. The city pass allows you to see some of the biggest attractions, such as museums, Top of the Rock, Statue of Liberty, etc for one set price, which saved us quite a bit of money. BUT be warned, you only have about a week to use the pass but since we were only there for a few days, we crammed a lot in and were pretty tired.

After picking up our passes, we went to grab lunch at the super popular street vendor cart called the Halal Guys, which serves chicken and rice. It sounds pretty simple, but it is super delicious. We shared a platter between the both of us which was great because we wanted to make sure we had enough room to eat more things throughout the day!

After eating lunch at the cart, we decided to walk through Central Park to get to the Metropolitan Art Museum. I did watch Gossip Girl and wanted a picture on the steps of the Met just like in the show!! Central Park was such an amazing place. I love how big and vast it is and there is always so much going on there. There are people performing here and there, ice skating, volleyball, random vendors, exercising, and so on. It was so nice and lively!

After we walked around the Met, which was huge by the way, we took the subway towards Greenwich Village, where we had dinner. You will see the food on my Foodie Friday post this coming week, but after dinner, we decided to try to squeeze in the Empire State Building since that was included in our city pass. The line was really long but we finally made it to the top to get some great city shots in. It would have been more fun if I wasn't super exhausted by then, but it's okay. At least we got to go there!

We called it a night after we left the Empire. Needed to get some sleep for our next day!
